Superintendent

Torque Consulting are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join a highly reputable construction firm based in Brooklyn offering an excellent benefits package. This company specializes in various commercial and residential construction projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful project completion, with strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors and tradespeople. The first project the successful candidate will work on is a Hospital project, so Healthcare experience is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage construction activities on site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring that they adhere to project schedules and specifications
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and project managers
• Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
• Manage and maintain project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders
• Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues in a timely and effective manner

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial and/or residential projects
• NYC DOB License preferred
• Active SST Card essential
• Healthcare experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
