Torque Consulting are working with a leading construction management firm specializing in commercial building projects in the heart of New York City. This CM is looking for a HVAC Project Manager to join their expanding team and play a vital role in delivering top-notch HVAC installation services to their clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of up to 20 tonnes of HVAC systems in commercial buildings throughout Manhattan. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and the internal project team to ensure the successful execution of HVAC projects from inception to completion. This role requires experience in the installation of HVAC systems, excellent project management skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of HVAC installation projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, develop project scopes, and create detailed project plans.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into commercial building projects.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects are completed within established financial parameters.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of HVAC technicians and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source and evaluate HVAC equipment and materials, ensuring they meet project requirements and specifications.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with HVAC systems in Project Management positions, preferably in the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and installation practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing HVAC installation projects.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to HVAC systems in New York City.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
