Torque Consulting are exclusively working with a Construction Management company who are looking to quickly hire an experienced Assistant Project Manager to oversee construction projects throughout NYC and the Boroughs. This is an opportunity to join a great Construction Management company specializing in commercial interior projects. Please do not apply if you do not have experience in the construction industry.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of commercial interior projects from inception to completion.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project progression.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare and track project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and project progress reports.
- Assist in the procurement process, including soliciting bids, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project expenses, track costs, and ensure budgetary compliance.
- Assist in the resolution of any project-related issues, conflicts, or disputes.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on interior projects.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with New York City building codes and regulations (preferred).
